Private Umrah taxi services in Saudi Arabia typically offer: Toyota Camry / Hyundai Sonata (4 passengers, economy), Hyundai Staria / Starex (7 passengers, family van), GMC Yukon XL / Chevrolet (7 passengers, VIP SUV), Toyota HiAce (11 passengers, group van), Toyota Coaster (19 passengers, group bus), and larger coaches for pilgrim delegations. Vehicle selection depends on group size, luggage volume, and journey comfort requirements.
Choosing the wrong vehicle creates problems before the journey even starts — a family of five with six large bags and a pushchair squeezed into a Camry, or a couple booking a 19-seater Coaster for two people. We have seen both situations create needless frustration for pilgrims arriving after exhaustive long-haul flights.
This page exists to prevent that. It tells you exactly what each vehicle carries, who it is best for, and what it costs on each route — so by the time you WhatsApp us, you already know which vehicle fits your group perfectly.
Use this quick matrix to align your passenger numbers and luggage load with the appropriate vehicle class before booking:

Explore individual vehicle specifications, luggage capacities, and ride profiles across our modern Saudi fleet:
The Camry and Sonata is the most affordable private taxi option in our fleet and the most commonly used vehicle for individual pilgrims and couples. It is a full-size saloon — comfortable on all routes, fuel-efficient, and practical for airport transfers where luggage volume is limited.
If you are travelling with 4 passengers and more than 3 large bags, you need the Staria or Starex. The saloon trunk cannot accommodate four international suitcases plus hand luggage without compromising cabin space.
Toyota Camry
Hyundai Sonata
The most popular vehicle in our fleet for Umrah families. Its wide automatic sliding rear door, low boarding step, and panoramic side windows make it exceptionally comfortable for elderly passengers and practical for families with strollers and large luggage sets.
Every Staria is pre-cooled to 20°C for summer arrivals across western Saudi Arabia. A folded wheelchair stores flat in the rear boot alongside passenger luggage without taking away passenger seats.
Hyundai Staria
Hyundai Starex
Same passenger count as the Staria but a categorically different ride quality. Full-size body-on-frame American SUV with wide leather seating, independent magnetic suspension, and an ultra-quiet cabin at high speeds on the Haramain Expressway.
Recommended for elderly pilgrims with joint or back conditions, and for any pilgrim who wants the best available comfort on a 4.5-hour intercity journey between Jeddah, Makkah, and Madinah.
GMC Yukon XL
Chevrolet (7-Seater VIP)
The HiAce is the correct vehicle the moment your group exceeds 7 passengers or your luggage exceeds what a Staria can carry. It has a side-loading configuration that allows strollers and folded wheelchairs to be stored flat without occupying passenger seating.
Three seating rows — "three seats, then three, then four in the back" as one pilgrim described it — with generous headroom throughout, individual overhead air vents for every passenger, and high ground clearance.
The Coaster is the standard vehicle for community group Umrah travel — mosque congregations from the United Kingdom, United States, Canada, and Pakistan who travel together. It provides high passenger seating with a separate rear luggage compartment.
The Coaster requires a minimum of 72 hours advance booking notice for vehicle allocation and route scheduling. For larger delegations of 20 to 44 pilgrims, a luxury Yutong coach is available upon request.
Every vehicle in our fleet, regardless of class or price, strictly adheres to our core operational standards across the Kingdom:
No vehicle older than 2 years is deployed on pilgrim transfers. Fleet freshness directly protects reliability and prevents mechanical issues on long-distance Saudi desert highways.
Powerful multi-vent cooling systems pre-cooled to a brisk 20°C prior to passenger boarding, essential during high summer temperatures in Jeddah, Makkah, and Madinah.
Every single vehicle and driver carries valid Transport General Authority operational permits, commercial insurance, and full authorization for Haram checkpoint access.
For all airport arrivals, drivers monitor your inbound international flight status via live GACA aviation tracking, automatically adjusting pickup timing for early flights or customs delays.
Every vehicle listing on our website includes an explicit luggage capacity. This figure represents the number of standard international-size check-in suitcases (approximately 28–30 inches / 70–76 cm) that can be safely loaded into the boot or cargo area without occupying passenger seats.
If your group carries more bags than the vehicle's stated capacity, either the luggage will not physically fit or passengers will be forced to hold bags on their laps for several hours — neither scenario is safe, legal, or comfortable. When in doubt, always book one vehicle size up (for example, choosing a Staria instead of a Camry, or a HiAce instead of a Staria).
When you contact us on WhatsApp, mention your exact bag count alongside your passenger numbers. Our dispatch team will immediately confirm the optimal vehicle.
Start with your passenger count, then your bag count. If 7 passengers carry 12 large bags, the Staria (which holds 8–10) is not sufficient — the HiAce is the correct choice. If your group includes elderly passengers who struggle with low entry heights, the Staria's sliding door is preferable over the Camry. Share both numbers with us on WhatsApp and we will confirm the match.
The Hyundai Staria. It accounts for the largest share of our bookings across all routes because it correctly balances passenger capacity (7), luggage capacity (8–10 bags), boarding ease for elderly passengers, and cost. It is the vehicle mentioned by name most often in our pilgrim reviews.
Yes. Many large family groups book a Staria and a Camry together, or two HiAces for a mosque group. When multiple vehicles are booked for the same journey, we coordinate departure so both vehicles travel together where possible.
We do not operate purpose-built WAV (wheelchair-accessible vehicle) conversions. For passengers using a folded wheelchair, the Toyota HiAce is recommended — the side-loading bay allows a folded wheelchair to be stored flat in the luggage area without reducing passenger seating. Inform us of this requirement at booking so the driver is briefed in advance.
